Catherine Cartie is a watercolor artist and illustrator based in Fort Worth, Texas. She is inspired by nature and her family, and creates unique hand painted and hand drawn artwork and patterns for her home and lifestyle product shop. She also loves to collaborate with other brands by licensing custom artwork and watercolor patterns for a wide variety of products and clothing.
Catherine is probably most known for her butterflies. A few years ago, she created a series of watercolor butterfly paintings that resonated with her audience in such a beautiful and unexpected way. To be able to connect with people through sharing their personal stories of butterflies really made her understand the power that art has to bring meaningful connection to each other. Those butterflies took on a life of their own and have become a central part of the Catherine Cartie brand.
When she is not painting or dreaming of new products or pattern ideas, you can find her on the tennis court or at her favorite local coffee shop with her friends and her 3 beautifully crazy children, Jack, Elliot, and Maes.
